Job
Summary:
As the Nurse Extern, you will deliver high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), you will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the Nurse Extern's skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
You must be currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.
You will act as a role model for care delivery and demonstrate WE CARE Values in all Actions. You will demonstrate excellent customer service.
Redmond Regional Medical Center is a 230 bed facility, serving as a referral source for all of northwest Georgia and parts of Alabama. Making excellent medical care convenient and available is Redmond's first priority. Redmond offers a full service cardiology product line and is nationally recognized as a top cardiac care center. Other areas of excellence include emergency care, orthopedics, vascular care, oncology, an inpatient rehabilitation unit and more.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing.
BLS Certification at employment or within one month of employment
