Summary:
The Patient Service Representative 2 (PSR 2 or Scheduler) performs a variety of clerical duties necessary to the daily operation of the practice or department.
Primary duties include but are not limited to answering the multi-line telephone and providing excellent customer service by effectively addressing the caller's need or directing the call appropriately to ensure the caller's needs are met.
This position may also hold primary responsibility of scheduling patient appointments including the gathering of clinical and payer information and making decisions while honoring physician scheduling templates and preferences.
Education:
1.
High school diploma or GED
Experience:
2.
Previous experience in the medical field is preferred, but not required.
3.
Basic knowledge of the use and operation of general office equipment (computer, phone, copier, fax).
4.
Working with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Skills:

Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide great customer service under stressful situations.

Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and pleasant manner in both verbal and written form.

Ability to multi-task.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
